The Boomtown Rats - I Don’t Like Mondays
Neat song that was inspired by a 1979 elementary school shooting. When the sixteen year old shooter was arrested and questioned about her motives, all she had in response was, “I don’t like Mondays, this livens up the day.”
Bob Geldof turned that line into a hit and would later go on and question whether or not starving Ethiopians were aware of Christmas*.
*turns out they don’t care
